Golden Week in Japan

Standard

Golden Week (GW) has started!

GW is a holiday-studded week in Japan consisting of four national holidays, i.e. Showa Day on April 29th, Constitution Day on May 3rd, Greenery Day on May 4th, and Children’s Day on May 5th. Many Japanese take paid holidays on the intervening work days to make the Golden Week a straight holiday week. It is one of the most popular times to travel due to its good weather.
